Arthritis is a disease that can massively impact day-to-day activities for its victim. Several patients talk about not being able to do simple tasks like picking up a spoon, driving a car, holding a pen or even sitting up straight for too long. But the lack of awareness of the severity of Arthritis, and the fact that it isn’t severe or the same for everyone, makes the disease largely invisible. As the result of the physical distress caused by Arthritis, the mental agony of the patients to is not talked about. The disease results in mothers not being able to pack lunch for her kids, fathers not being able to drive them to school, kids not being able to play ball with their friends and grandparents not being able to go out of their house and feeling caged. This creates dependency, which ultimately is not a state that most people would want to be in. I wanted to take all of that into consideration and craft a campaign that brings awareness of the grim reality of some Arthritis patients, both young and old.
